Welcome to The Bowling Addict
I designed this website with the goal of creating an up-to-date listing of bowling websites. Check out the links section to view all of the bowling website categories. I scour the web frequently for bowling websites and I'm always adding new ones. If you find a great bowling website, or run one yourself, please leave me a comment and I'll add it. This site also serves as my personal bowling blog which I'll update every so often.

Vacu-Inserts
When I recently purchased my Storm Sure Fire, I decided to try out vacu-inserts. I've always had problems with my fingers being too loose in the inserts at times. I would have to slow down my swing so that I could get good leverage on the ball without it falling out too early. The verdict; I should have used vacu-inserts a long time ago. I ended up having my spare ball converted over too. Here's some good info on vacu-inserts:
You can use the vise vacu-insert sleves as shown in the picture below.
Or drill the insert holes with two different sized bits as shown below.
Here's a drilling guide from Turbo 2-N-1 Grips:
Create a Vacuum Grip with this Simple Drill Technique.
NOTE: Please read instructions fully before drilling. For Tech Support call: 1-888-2N1-GRIP.
- Use 1 1/32" drill bit. Hole should be 1/16" larger than the recommended insert o.d.
- Drill hole 1" deep.
- Replace 1 1/32" drill bit with 31/32" or recommended insert outside diameter (for stronger vacuum use smaller drill bit i.e. 61/64 for
standard outside diameter insert)- Drill hole the full depth of insert (Quad inserts 1 3/4", Standard 2-N-1 1 3/8")
- You have now created a cone at the bottom of the hole.
- Install finger insert. Glue bottom of grip into smaller hole. When creating a vacuum grip you must use at least 2 sizes smaller than standard finger tip size. Grip will expand to fit inside hole diameter.
- Apply adhesive (Turbo Ultra Zip recommended) to the front of hole, between finger insert and bowling ball. ONLY apply glue to the front wall.
Here's a video from Brunsnick on how to drill a ball for vacu-inserts:
